Examples of events and courses we could run:
 

• Ecovillage experiences

• Natural building courses

• Permaculture design

• Ecovillage design

• Nature retreats

• Intensive practice gatherings - meditation, yoga, dance

• Governance and Sociocracy

• Hosting project startup teams

These could be run by the resident members, or by inviting an external teacher, or we could rent out our event space to external event organisers who we know and feel aligned with. 
Events that we run as a community group could be sharing our way of life and the skills and knowledge we are developing as part of the Ecovillage project. 

Courses which include hands on experience would be a nice exchange that the participants learn and in exchange we get things built or made. For example buildings, gardens, a permaculture design etc. 
Retreats focused on specific practices could be a great way for the resident community to learn a new practice or go deeper, with the intention of then continuing the practice as part of the weekly rhythm at the Ecovillage. 

 

Project Residencies

Hosting individuals or groups who are working on a new project relevant to the the vision of the ecovillage.
We can offer them a peaceful place in nature where they can focus on their project work. For example during the start-up stage of a project, connecting as a team, visioning the next steps in a project, practicing a performance etc.
To support them, we could offer meals and wellbeing treatments, and also give them the option to help in the garden when they want
something simple to do as a break from their more challenging work.
This could be suitable for an individual or team working on a range of projects. For example: a nature protection campaign, an art project, writing a book, fundraising for an environmental project, a theatre or dance performance, a direct action protest group, a reforestation project, a new ecovillage project.
We may be able to support further by offering a package of training, workshops or experiences in a subject that is common between our project and their project.
